Terms and Conditions
1. Booking A booking can be made either by use of the website booking form or by contacting the owner by telephone or email. Upon receipt of the booking form, notification of this will be sent by email. The option ‘Check Availability’ on the website Booking Form provides up-to-date availability. Should this indicate the property is unoccupied for your chosen dates a swift confirmation of your booking request can be expected. A 20% deposit is required at the time of booking. Upon receipt of the deposit, confirmation will be sent by email or in writing and the website will be updated to show the property as Booked. Please check thoroughly that the details on this confirmation are correct and notify any inaccuracies as soon as possible. Once the owner has sent this confirmation notice a binding contractual agreement for the booking exists. The balance of 80% becomes due 8 weeks prior to your stay. If booking less than 8 weeks before your arrival date the full balance is due on booking. 2. Payment All prices and payments are in UK pounds. A currency converter is provided should you wish to compare UK pounds with other currencies. Electronic bank transfer is available; please ask for account details. Payment can also be made by debit and credit card through Paypal. Please include your preference for this type of payment in the additional information box in the booking form. I will send an email to you with a link to Paypal where you can make a secure payment. You do not require your own Paypal account to use this facility. When directed to the Paypal site either log-in, if you have a Paypal account, or click on 'continue' where directed if you do not have a Paypal account, and complete the payment instruction. If you wish to pay by cash or cheque, please ask for the address to which this payment should be sent. In this case the responsibility for ensuring safe delivery rests with the person making the booking. If the payment is by cheque, the booking will be confirmed when the cheque has cleared. 3. Security Deposit No security deposit is required to cover loss, breakage or damage to the apartment or its contents during your stay. However, any such loss, breakage or damage must be reported upon your return. It is requested that you treat the apartment with the same consideration as you would your own home. You will be billed for repairs or replacements, as necessary. 4. Smoking For the comfort and safety of all of our guests, smoking is prohibited within the apartment. 5. Cancellation If you cancel more than 8 weeks before your stay the deposit will be retained but you will not be liable for the balance. If you have paid the full balance and cancel more than 4 weeks before your arrival date a refund of 40% of the total balance will be made. For cancellations made within 4 weeks of the arrival date no refund will be due. 6. Arrival/Departure Following receipt of the final balance, and close to your departure date, you will be forwarded an email with directions and access codes for both Crystal Court and the apartment, and any additional information required for your stay. If you do not have access to email these instructions will be sent by mail. The apartment will be available for occupation from 3pm on the day of your arrival. The apartment must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. A later departure time may be available upon request for an additional fee of £30. Please ensure that all keys are returned to the front door security access box on your departure. 7. Towels and Linen All bath towels, kitchen towels and linen is provided. Beach towels are not provided. 8. Liability No responsibility whatsoever will be accepted by the owner for the personal injury, death, accident, loss or damage to persons or personal belongings howsoever caused. The use of the apartment, its amenities and the amenities of Crystal Court including the swimming pool, tennis court and grounds is entirely at the user’s own risk. Whilst the pool has an area for younger guests, children must, at all times, be supervised by a responsible adult when using the pool. No glass is permitted into the pool area. The owner is not liable for any of the rental period being unused due to flight cancellations or delays, travel disruption, industrial dispute, or any act outside of the owners' control, including terrorism and any form of Force Majeure. It is recommended that you take out adequate travel insurance. 9. Force Majeure As with any other holiday, there may be circumstances completely beyond our control in which the property might not be available for your booking. An example of such a circumstance includes, but is not limited to, the destruction of, or severe damage to, the property. This example circumstance is referred to as “Force Majeure”. Although rare, in the event of a Force Majeure, the owner will endeavour to make alternative accommodation arrangements for you where possible. If the owner is unsuccessful in this attempt, or if such arrangements are unacceptable to you, then the owner will refund all monies paid to them. This will be the full extent of the owners’ liability to you in such circumstances, and the owner shall not be responsible to you for any other costs connected with any such cancellation caused by a Force Majeure, howsoever arising. 10. Law All parts of these terms and conditions contained herein shall be subject to, construed by, and, in accordance with, English Law. 11. Revisions The owner reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions if necessary.
